10 Jan 2012

The restaurant world is reeling from the shocking news that Charlie Trotter is to close his Chicago restaurant after 25 years.

The 2 Michelin star restaurant won't close until August 2012, so there is plenty of time to book a final table!

He stresses that he is not closing due to financial reasons but that he wishes to travel around the world, then return to study philosophy and political theory in which he hopes to gain his master's degree, after which he plans to open another restaurant.

Charlie Trotter is world famous not only for his cuisine but for training many a chef who has gone on to great things, such as Grant Achatz, Graham Elliot and Mindy Segal.
