thefoodpeople are food experts

We have in excess of 60 years experience in all aspects of food, having in-depth knowledge, expertise, and a proven track record in strategic food product development and commercial management within retail facing food manufacturing and processing, working with the likes of Asda, M&S, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose.

We have unique food experience, from working for industry pioneers such as Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir Aux Qua't Saisons, teaching cookery at L'ecole de Cuisine Francaise, competing and winning Junior Chef of the year, through to food service with groups such as City Centre Restaurants and contract catering with Charlton House.

As a food trends and ideas business, people often ask us where our inspiration comes from.  The answer is simple. It comes from the team's deep-rooted interest, passion and enthusiasm for food and all things foodie.  Individually, and as a team, we spend time travelling, experiencing new cultures, surfing, talking, eating, cooking, day dreaming, absorbing cookery books and magazines, visiting museums, art galleries, specialist shops, food producers and a whole host of other activities to fuel our inspiration for food.

We have two offices in the UK, one in West Sussex on the south coast close to the artistic and trend-setting city of Brighton and the second in the countryside of Northamptonshire, close to the Oxfordshire and Warwickshire border, an area with an abundance of regional food producers and farm shops.

Our clients include:

  • Sainsbury's
  • Kepak (Rustlers & Big Al's)
  • Bakkavor
  • CP Foods UK

  • Kerry Foods

  • The Grampian Country Food Group
